Just a test thread to see how this place works.

Video ULR works OK after doing a preview.

I see your video Bill, but your photo link is broken. Did you upload a photo or link to a Photobucket or such?

 

Yes, this one from Photobucket.
I couldn't get one from my PC loaded either. More than likely user error but I don't see what can be done differently. You just paste your image URL in the box, right?

 

To use a photobucket URL click the "insert/edit image" button just to the left of the film (media) icon in the toolbar.

 

Yes, that was a Photobucket photo.
And yep, that's what I did.

 

Go back to that message at the top of this thread and click edit and try it again. It looks like you have two end tags somehow /url /img and that doesn't seem right.

I just spotted the "upload a file button" there on the lower right.

 

Strange. Did you have any tags in the URL that you pasted? Try deleting it and pasting it again.

 

Just tried the photobucket image again on the first post and it does the same thing.

 

I don't know where the extra stuff is coming from. Just copying and paste the image code into the box.

I just pasted the url right to the text to show you what was being pasted in the "insert image" box and here you go.

 

I see it now. But I think I see the problem. There is a extension .jpg.html

 

There's a what? Just kidding, you don't need to answer that.

I think just pasting the image code right here works just fine. Don't even need to fool with the "insert image" button this way.

My spell checker doesn't work on this site. That's not a good thing.

 

Just tried the spell checker again and it did work this time.

I couldn't get it to work when I posted yesterday.

 

What are your thoughts on this forum system so far compared to the one at Southern Oregon RC?

 

Not a lot different I think, other than the events calendar which is a nice feature.
In all honesty I liked the the one we tested a year or so ago, but that's not what you asked.

 

I like that one also but some of the others felt it was too complicated. I'm not sure how much testing they actually did before making up their mind. Maybe all the additional features were overwhelming.
